A market brings love to the poor

Continuing the series of activities in response to Humanitarian Month 2025, on May 23, Binh Duong Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with departments, branches, organizations, units, and philanthropists to organize the program "Zero-VND Market". Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Nguyen Minh Thuy, Provincial Party Standing Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hang, Provincial Party Standing Member, Head of the Provincial Party Internal Affairs Committee; Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

At this market, 500 freelance workers, lottery ticket sellers, individuals in difficult circumstances, and visually impaired people received support to attend and select various goods and necessities priced at "0 VND." Each support package was valued at over 1.8 million VND, which included 500,000 VND in cash and over 1.3 million VND in goods. The total value of the fair exceeded 900 million VND.

During the fair, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha emphasized that in recent years, Binh Duong province has placed significant importance on social security work, focusing on improving the lives of the poor and disadvantaged. This effort has been aided by the active contributions of Provincial Red Cross through its humanitarian activities. He acknowledged the role of Provincial Red Cross Society, along with various units, businesses, and philanthropists, in their commitment to supporting those in need. He expressed hope that they would continue to receive support in future humanitarian charity activities.

On this occasion, provincial leaders and Provincial Red Cross Society presented the "Golden Heart of Humanity" plaque as a token of gratitude for the contributions made by philanthropists, organizations, and businesses. This acknowledgment celebrates their partnership with the Provincial Red Cross in enhancing the lives of the poor, those facing challenges, and vulnerable individuals in society.
