A myriad of activities at the 5th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Binh Duong province dubbed meaningful

On December 7 and 8, at the Cultural, Sports, and Broadcasting Center of Dau Tieng District, the 5th Congress of the Representatives of Ethnic Minorities of Binh Duong province and the conference on exemplary business production and the cultural - artistic festival and sports activities of ethnic minorities in 2024 will take place.

The congress officially took place on the morning of December 8, with 333 delegates in attendance. This is an opportunity for the province to summarize and assess the achievements and results of ethnic affairs and ethnic policies during the period of 2019-2024; at the same time, it recognizes, honors, and celebrates exemplary individuals, thereby creating a new atmosphere of emulation in the area of ethnic minorities.

As part of the congress, on December 7, there will be a cultural and sports festival for ethnic minorities in 2024. The festival will take place with lively activities, including: competitions in sports (football, tug of war, walking on stilts for both men and women, and male and female wrestling); camping decoration contests; performances of traditional costumes of ethnic minorities and arts performances. This is an opportunity for the ethnic minorities in the province to affirm their unique cultural values, to meet and exchange cultural, artistic, and sports activities, and to introduce the beautiful cultural traits of their ethnic groups to the people of other ethnicities in the province.

According to statistical data, Binh Duong currently has 28 ethnic minorities, with 7,678 households and 24,094 inhabitants.
