Work of Thanh Phuoc Port is located on an area of over 243,000sqm. Households affected by the work have enjoyed compensation and resettlement land of over 230,000sqm. Along with the work, Tan Luong resettlement area has been set up to stabilize the affected households’ life. At present, the resettlement area has completed basic items of road, electricity, water drainage system and so on.
Tran Minh Bang, vice chairman of Thanh Phuoc commune People’s Committee said that the resettlement has had 14 households living in it. Tram Van Ngoi, Tan Luong residential area secretary, said “I enjoy over VND800mil in compensation and 2 land lots in the resettlement area. After stability of life at the area, I buy a truck for my son to earn living”.
Meanwhile, Mrs.B, a new resident in the area said that she has enjoyed a new job of selling vegetables for companies’ collective kitchens.
14 out of 66 households have enjoyed a new life in the area and changed their job. Most of them have worked as small traders or worker at companies. And, they think that the resettlement area brings a new life for them.
