To deploy the national program of new rural construction, Ben Cat town has succeeded in persuading people to donate lands, money, workdays to construct roads. There were some people volunteering to donate thousands of lands. Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi living at An Son hamlet, An Dien commune, Ben Cat town is a typical example.
A new road was planned to go through her land. Without governmental mobilizing, Me. Muoi discussed with her family and decided to donate a total land area of 700m2, cut off tens of mature rubber trees.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi was on her donated land for new road construction.
Ms. Muoi said: “Constructing new roads is to change the face of the homeland and improve living standards of farmers including our family, our children. With new roads, we can travel, work easily. Therefore, I volunteered to donate lands and wait for a new road”.
Local people were at first very surprised by Ms. Muoi, because these lands were her family’s property. Thanks to Ms. Muoi, some people had been reluctant then decided to support building of the new road.
As a shining example, Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi was commended by provincial People’s Committee. This implies that promoting the role of exemplary citizens would facilitate governmental mobilization for people’s contributions, successful completion of socioeconomic developing movements as well as tasks.
