Thu’s innate defect has made her face difficulties in life and study. However, she has made greater efforts to walk on her remaining foot as well as to write by her big toe.
It took one year for her to write by big toe and she entered first grade when she was 7 years old. During 5 years of learning at Tan Long primary school in Phu Giao district, Thu was a good and exemplary pupil. Especially, she proudly joined in a provincial contest on calligraphy and clean notebook when she was the 4th grader.
Entering secondary school, she has made efforts to win high marks in all subjects. Particularly, for IT subject, she uses her toes to complete lessons on keyboard rapidly.
Despite her paralysis, she helps her mother cook meals and clean house. Asked about her dream, she said nothing. However, her father revealed that she hopes to earn much money to help her parents and to be a useful for society.
