Early April 22, provincial Sponsoring Association for Disable People, Orphans and Poor Patients grandly held its 6th congress for the 2016-2021 tenure. The association over the past five years reaped a lot of successes. They will be the foundation for the Executive Committee of the association to further put forward targets for the next tenure.
Stabilizing lives of the disadvantaged
In the 2011-2016 tenure, provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients mobilized all sources to well realize its task of taking care of disadvantaged people, ensuring their legitimate rights and interests.

The province now has a total of 15,630 disabled people, 1,315 poor disabled children, 3,632 orphans, 2,727 poor orphans, 3,962 poor patients and 675 hopeless patients in need of the whole society’s help.
The association excellently fulfilled its action programs, offering help to 116,295 disadvantaged people by practical deeds during the past five years. Particularly, the association gave healthcare worth more than VND4.9bln for disadvantaged people; presented them wheel-chairs, bicycles worth more than VND4.2bln; donated scholarships, gifts, houses of compassion to them with a total value of around VND28bln…Noticeably, the association’s project on supporting livelihood for disadvantaged people step by step helped them rise up out of poverty and stabilize their lives.
Joining hands to help the disadvantaged
Taking care of disadvantaged people is the responsibility of the whole society. Over the past five years, provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients received the attention and support of 117 organizations and individuals. Nguyen Van Nam, Chairman of provincial provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients said: “The 2016-2021 period is the important transition of the new period. The association is determined to raise high the spirit of solidarity, mobilize all sources to surmount difficulties, strive to fulfill the set targets for 2016-2021 tenure. In this tenure, the association will further carry out support programs in association with propaganda work, honor outstanding disadvantaged people, improve its staff’s capacity, contributing to building up a powerful organization”.
He also added that thanks to their solidarity and consensus, the association and its affiliated fulfilled and even surpassed the set targets over the past five years. The lives of disadvantaged people in the province were improved. This result also came from the support and attention of the local authorities at all levels…
