Early May 29, provincial Steering Board of Summer Vacation Activities held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Children 2016 and open the summer vacation 2016 themed “For safe lives, preventing accidents and injuries for children”. Attending the ceremony were Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and more than 500 local children.

The action month aims to raise people’s awareness of preventing any child accident and injury and calls for better care for children. After the ceremony, many activities for children will be organized from June 1 to August 30. They include a week themed “When drinking water, remember its source”, a journey to museum, training courses on skills, forums against accidents and injuries for children... On this occasion, the organizers also presented 100 gifts, comprising of books and learning tools, to poor pupils, helping them further pursue their learning.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr.Hung acknowledged achievements done by sectors and authorities at all levels of the province in child care and protection while suggesting them to step up propaganda for this task, organize practical activities to create useful and safe playgrounds for children during the summer vacation, mobilize all resources to take care of children with difficult circumstances.
