Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee has just organized a ceremony to launch the Action Month on Gender Equality and Prevention of Gender-based Violence 2018.
This year’s action month is implemented from November 15 to December 15 with the theme of “Being proactive to prevention violence, abuse in women and children”. Accordingly, the district’s People’s Committee will instruct functional agencies and the People’s Committees of communes and Dau Tieng township to speed up dissemination of information about the Law on Gender Equality and relevant documents; organize talk shows on gender equality, prevention of domestic violence; boost measures against violence and abuse in children, improve the quality of female human resource; realize target programs on nutrition, healthcare for pregnant women and children…
After the ceremony, participants made a parade through some main streets of Dinh An commune, aiming to raise the role and responsibility of organizations and individuals in preventing violence, abuse in women and children.
