According to statistics from the National Study on Domestic Violence against Women, 58% of married women in Vietnam experienced at least one form of violence (physical, mental or sexual) at some point in their lives. On average, there are 1,000 sexual abuse cases in girls every year. More than 1,500 domestic violence cases also occurred in Binh Duong in the period of 2011-2015.
The action month will run from November 15 to December 15 with practical activities such as organizing a talk show on gender equality, hanging propaganda posters on main streets…, thereby calling on the community to realize the State’s laws, policies on gender equality and gender-based violence prevention.
