Actively giving wings to children’s dreams

“The children of today are the world of tomorrow." Being well aware of the especially important role of children in the family and society, North Tan Uyen district has made great efforts in the protection, care and education of children, creating favorable conditions for them to live, learn and play safely and healthily.

Giving wings to dreams

In addition to well implementing central and provincial support policies, North Tan Uyen district has actively mobilized more resources from socialization, combined with the local activities to well realize child protection, care and education, thereby opportunely reviewing and supporting creating conditions to give wings to children’s dreams.

Leaders of North Tan Uyen district and representatives of Binh Duong Lottery One Member Ltd.Co. award scholarships to disadvantaged students with high academic results in the 2022-2023 academic year

Being present at the recent ceremony awarding scholarships to disadvantaged students in the district, Huynh Thi Thanh Hang, a student of class 5A at Tan My primary school touchedly said that the VND 1 million scholarship will help her family cover my school fees. This is because Thanh Hang is living in a large family, but her elderly grandfather is often sick. Her grandmother is retired. Her father is a bricklayer while her mother is a worker with unstable income.

The above scholarship was also a useful source of support for Le Nguyen Phu Trong, a student of class 2D at Tan Dinh primary school. Phu Trong's situation is very pitiful when his parents' careers are not stable. He often has to sell lottery tickets to support his family. However, his academic achievement is always good. For an orphan like Truong Nguyen Khanh Bang, a student of grade 7A6 at Tan Binh secondary school, this scholarship is part of the funding to help him take care of his learning when his mother is seriously ill. It is also an encouragement to him so that he can fulfill my dream of further going to school like his friends.

Duong Van Cuong, Chairman of North Tan Uyen district’s Red Cross Society said that together with the local authorities and mass organizations, the district’s Red Cross Society actively mobilized additional 20 gifts worth VND400,000 each and 12 bicycles for disadvantaged students on the occasion of opening the 2022-2023 school year. Also on this occasion, the district received 16 gifts worth VND1 million each and 16 bicycles and gave them for the local disadvantaged students. The district has also just cooperated with provincial Red Cross Society to mobilize Binh Duong Lottery One Member Ltd.Co. to award 50 scholarships worth VND 1 million each to poor-but-excellent students.
