Thanks to provincial authorities’ timely attention and instruction, the activities for women’s advancement herein achieved many positive results last year.

Particularly, the province paid more attention to the tasks of generating jobs and giving vocational training to female laborers. Among 45,899 laborers offered jobs, there were 65% being female laborers. The province also provided 9,966 poor households with a total loan of more than VND202bln, 4,027 of which are households with women known as the householders.
Education work is the most important target in the activities for women’s advancement. Therefore, the province over time put focus on raising the qualification of the local women. Among 17,867 State employees in the province’s administrative units, there are now 12, 039 female ones at intermediate, college, university and postgraduate levels.
Such these apart, the province made efforts in the task of healthcare among the local women through the annual national target programs on health, population, family and children. For example, the local health authorities always gave more support to female employees in the sector, aiming to improve their lives…
Provincial vice-chairman Nguyen Van Hiep, who is also head of provincial Committee for Women’s Advancement said that the legal foundations to ensure the task for women’s advancement herein were perfected; the results of realizing the targets of the task last year saw increase. He also asked for provincial Committee for Women’s Advancement to further instruct all localities to well realize the task for women’s advancement.
