Environmental protection (EP) has become significant for human life. Now, both functional agencies and residents join forces to curb climate change. Therefore, this year’s World Environment Day (June 5) is held solemnly at all levels with the theme “Many species – One Planet – One Future”.

Expectedly, at 6a.m of June 5, the World Environment Day will be held solemnly with the participation of 4,300 people at the provincial Stadium. In the event, units of the provincial department of Natural Resources and Environment and its affiliates, Veteran Society, Youth Union, enterprises and youths and unionists along with carriages decorated with flowers will parade through stand and some routes nearby the stadium.
After the meeting ceremony, there will be 2,000 people walking for environment. They will go through main routes of Go Dau roundabout, Binh Duong Avenue, Chanh Nghia residential area to promulgate EP and distribute leaflets and install dustbins at public areas as well as plant green trees.
Do Ngoc Huy, vice secretary of the local Youth Union, said with the theme of “Youth for environment’, local youths and unionists on June 5 will fold paper-made bags in replacement of nylon ones to distribute them to small traders and residents.
With the motto of ‘Veterans join in EP activities’, the local veterans society’s affiliates will hold the World Environment Day at all levels and promulgate the event’s significance to raise people’s awareness and action on EP.
In response to the World Environment Day, the provincial department of Natural Resources and Environment distributes 4,000 leaflets, 3,500 caps and 3,500 T-shirts whilst Youth Union offers 4,000 caps and T-shirts and grants 30 dustbins to bodies.
Meanwhile, districts and townships will respond the event by mobilizing people to join in EP and climate change control.
