Vinh Hoa commune’s Farmers Association in Phu Giao district has just held a conference to review its activities in 2014.
Reportedly, the local Farmers Association in 2014 promoted the emulation movement of “good farmers in production and business” among cadres and members. As many as 1,072 members registered to take part in the emulation movement or 92.7% of total. As a result, there were 786 members winning the title of “good farmer in production and business” or 73.32% of total. Among them, one was recognized as good farmer at central level; 62 at provincial level, 161 at district level and 562 at communal level.
The association considered and disbursed over VND2bln in loan from many other sources for 155 members to develop home based business. The result has brought total loan managed by the association so far to more than VND7.5bln with 208 borrowers. The association also joined hands with the local functional agencies to organize 12 training courses on technical ways for farmers, 2 vocational training classes for 40 rural laborers…, help 59 farming households escape poverty.
On this occasion, Vinh Hoa commune’s Farmers Association launched a program to raise money for the local support fund for farmers while honoring outstanding collectives and individuals in 2014.
