The local Women’s Union attached special importance to taking care of women and children via many substantial activities, including visiting and presenting 850 gifts worth more than VND380mln to policy beneficiary families on Tet and great holidays; mobilizing donors to present 7,287 gifts to poor women, pupils and Agent Orange victims with a total expense of more than VND1.6bln; donating 9 houses of compassion worth more than VND317mln; presenting 438 gifts to poor-but-excellent pupils…
On this occasion, women also took part in a talk show on Vietnamese women’s virtues in the period of national industrialization and modernization: “Self-confidence, Self-respect, Faithfulness, Resourcefulness”.
*Binh Duong Sugar Joint Stock Company (JSC) has just had an exchange program with cadres and members of the Women’s Union of Phuoc Sang commune in Phu Giao district on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (Oct.20, 1930-Oct.20, 2012).
On this occasion, Binh Duong Sugar JSC donated VND5mln to the support fund of Phuoc Sang communal Women’s Union. Company General Director Nguyen Thanh Trung also raised VND5mln for this fund.
