Early October 25, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, chaired a meeting to hear reports on the draft plan for organizing major holidays, important political and cultural events in the province in 2024. The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda-Education Commission.
According to a report from provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2024, it is expected to organize 7 major holidays and 3 political and cultural events with many practical activities to popularize the local achievements on economy, culture, society and national defense - security, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere at recreational needs of people from all strata.
At the meeting, representatives of departments and sectors asked for advice from provincial Steering Committee for Major Holidays to carry out a number of activities related to major holidays. Particularly, Hung King's death anniversary will be organized by provincial Steering Committee for Major Holidays, instead of provincial Department of Education and Training. Fireworks displays to celebrate the New Year 2024, celebrate Binh Duong's 27th anniversary of construction and development (January 1, 1997 - January 1, 2024) and New Year's Eve at provincial Administrative Center...will continue being organized.
Concluding the meeting, Mr.Thao requested members of provincial Steering Committee for Major Holidays to further recheck contents accordingly; continue completing the contents of the draft plan. He also noted that activities need to create highlights, with safety and thrift ensured, highlight the cultural and spiritual values of the people as well as the unique values of Binh Duong’s land and people.
