Activities to celebrate major holidays must be substantive with positive impacts on social life

Early November 1, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee chaired a meeting of provincial Steering Committee for major holidays and gave opinions on a plan to prepare for organizing activities to celebrate major holidays and the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2023. Also attending the meeting were Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Education Department; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, representatives of departments and sectors reported to the Steering Committee for opinions on a number of activities related to major holidays as well as the Tet festival 2023, such as: Organizing delegations of provincial leaders to visit a number of educational institutions and outstanding teachers; organizing exhibitions and meetings on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers ‘Day, November 20; taking care of trade unionists and workers during the Tet festival this year; organizing a TV program on “Spring with disadvantaged children”; proposing targeted groups to be given Tet gifts; organizing delegations of leaders to visit and donate gifts to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors; holding a get-together for diplomatic delegations on the occasion of the Tet festival 2023; celebrating the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 in association with the All-People National Defence Festival; commemorating the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3…

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Thao basically agreed with the proposed ideas while noting that the organization of the activities must be substantive, clear and creative.  Each specific activity must create a general effect and have a positive impact on social life. Support policies during the Tet holiday must come directly to the right people, creating consensus and excitement among the people...
