*Get-togethers and gifts for the elderly in need
With the theme of "Caring for the health of the elderly is the responsibility of every individual, family and society", provincial health sector is carrying out activities as part of the "National Action Month for Vietnamese Elderly" (October). A key activity is to provide health check-ups for all elderly residents in the province, regardless of temporary or permanent residency status. This activity aims at creating health management records, offering health consultations and providing free treatment advice for common diseases for the elderly, with special attention given to those who are lonely or severely ill and unable to visit healthcare facilities. Additionally, the health sector is collaborating with relevant departments, sectors to enhance healthcare services and improve the quality of life for the elderly.
*Phu Loi ward’s Association of the Elderly in Thu Dau Mot city has recently organized a get-together to celebrate the 33rd International Day of Older Persons (October 1, 1991 - October 1, 2024). Over the past years, the ward’s Association of the Elderly excelled at caring for and promoting the role of the elderly, providing support to those with difficult circumstances or suffering from illness…
On this occasion, the association also organized a free nutrition and dental consultation program for its members. As part of the event, 80 gifts were distributed to the elderly with difficult circumstances, encouraging them to continue living happily, healthily, usefully and actively participate in the local movements.
