Over the past time, North Tan Uyen district’s Women’s Union took measures to support and take care of the lives of members, thereby helping them surmount difficulties and build up their stable, happy families.
Phan Thi Ngoc Loi, Chairwoman of North Tan Uyen district’s Women’s Union said that under patriotic emulation movements, the local Women’s Union created models, helping members develop home based business and stabilize their lives; constantly improved operational contents and forms, boosted practical activities to absorb more members, contributing to building up a more powerful organization.

The local Women’s Union also realized many effective models towards poor women, namely “Raising piggybanks for the Sharing the Heart Fund”, “Making dreams come true”, “Charity rice jar”… The model of “Giving strength to elderly women and those with difficult circumstances” was the most noticeable. To effectively implement the model, the local Women’s Unions at all levels focused resources on taking care of elderly members and those with difficult circumstances. Particularly, they presented 352 gifts worth more than VND13million to needy members; supported 23 women and 3 children with difficult circumstances 10 kg of rice per person per month; built 4 charity houses worth VND200million; presented 3,390 kg of rice worth more than VN40million to 196 poor women…
Additionally, the local Women’s Union paid attention to taking care of members’ health and spiritual lives via organizing talk shows on healthcare, cultural-sports activities…The society also promoted cultural-sports movements among members; provided them with knowledge on marriage-family; set up reliable addresses, thereby opportunely dealing with members and people’s urgent matters…
Tran Thi Lieu, a member of Tan Thanh commune’s Women’s Union branch said that the town’s Women’s Unions at all levels have always created the best conditions for members to take part in activities to improve their material and spiritual lives. Through these activities, members also had a chance to exchange and share experience in life.
“Upholding achievements done over the past time, the district’s Women’s Union will boost activities helping members be more self-confident in life; mobilize resources to raise funds in order to regularly accelerate activities to take care of members”, added Mrs.Loi.
