Binh Duong provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has designated the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign as a pivotal initiative for the youth, recognizing them as the vanguard force and a key element in the "Era of National Rise." Consequently, the Youth Union emphasizes the importance of youth in the pursuit of integration and sustainable development.
For a sustainable environment
Youth volunteer activities represent not merely a movement but also a genuine solution to social issues. In particular, the pursuit of a green, clean, and beautiful environment, along with collaborative efforts to safeguard it, remains a pressing concern. Consequently, the Youth Union at all levels is actively promoting programs aimed at environmental protection during the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
In response to World Environment Day on June 5, the Phu Giao District Youth Union initiated the campaign "Phu Giao Youth Say No to Single-Use Plastic Products" last week. During the launch, the District Youth Union distributed over 200 cloth bags and 1,000 leaflets aimed at promoting anti-plastic waste initiatives in the Phuoc Vinh town market area. Furthermore, the District Youth Union and its affiliated base organized the second "Green Sunday," which included activities such as cleaning more than 15 kilometers of roadways, removing illegal advertisements, collecting nearly 100 kilograms of household waste, and planting over 200 new trees. The event saw the active participation of more than 1,000 youth union members from the district, contributing to environmental protection, enhancing local awareness against littering, and fostering a more aesthetically pleasing landscape.

In fostering the spirit of initiative and creativity among union members and youth, the Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union at all levels has prioritized the diversification of activities and outreach programs aimed at union members, young individuals, and the general public. These initiatives seek to reduce the reliance on disposable plastic products and non-biodegradable nylon bags, while simultaneously encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly alternatives such as paper bags, cloth bags, glass cups, bamboo straws, and reusable items. Furthermore, the Youth Union continues to uphold the "Exchanging Waste for Gifts" model in boarding houses, along with initiatives for waste sorting and the promotion of green living environments. These efforts are designed to enhance public awareness and engagement in environmental protection, address climate change, and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development.
