The AEON Binh Duong Canary Mall in Thuan An town yesterday held a tree-planting festival with the participation of 1,000 people. Also attending the event were Vo Van Minh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and representatives of some departments in the province.

More 5,000 green trees were planted during the festival. On November 24, AEON Vietnam Co.Ltd. also held such festival with 1,000 participants who planted more than 8,000 green trees.
The program of “Canh rung que huong” (Homeland forest) was initiated by JUSCO Malacca under AEON Group in 1991. So far, the program has been implemented all over the world whenever AEON opens its new branch. AEON Group has planted a total of more than 1mln green trees throughout Asia via the program. Many other significant activities have also been organized by AEON’s Environmental Protection Fund.
AEON is one of the world’s top retailing groups with 250 years of development. Aeon Viet Nam Co Ltd, an affiliate of AEON Group was set up in October 2011 to carry out the corporation’s campaign “Towards Asia”. AEON Vietnam Co.Ltd. inaugurated Aeon-Tan Phu Celadon Shopping Centre in HCM city in January 2014 and AEON-Binh Duong Canary Mall is expected to be opened on November 1, 2014.
