AFC honors Vietnamese Youth Community Football

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has recently held its 2023 Annual Awards ceremony in South Korea’s Seoul. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) received the Bronze Award from the AFC President for community youth football.

It is known that the event was part of a ceremony featuring 18 award categories recognizing outstanding individuals and federations in Asian football for the 2023-2024 activities.

In relation to the community football development project, particularly the FIFA school football initiative, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has collaborated with the Ministry of Education and Training to implement the program in 1,000 schools across 63 provinces nationwide.

Before receiving this award, Vietnamese football had also been honored with AFC’s special awards for grassroots youth football and children’s football. Notably, the Community Football Project in Vietnam (FFAV) won the award for the best movement project in Asia.

With its efforts to drive significant changes in Vietnamese football starting from the grassroots level, VFF was honored with the AFC President’s Recognition for Youth Community Football. This award motivates VFF to continue advancing sustainable football development in Vietnam, positively contributing to the development of football across Asia and the world.
