On occasion of Vietnam Teacher’s Day 20th Nov, Binh Duong province had 14 teachers bestowed Meritorious Teacher (MT) title. To achieve this honor, these teachers have devoted great efforts to provincial educational sector. Following are 3 of outstanding teachers.
MT Le Thi Hai: My cause is the cause of happiness
MT Le Thi Hai is the principal of Binh My primary school in North Tan Uyen district. Although the school is in a remote area, the school has got many achievements in educational emulation movements, because of partly great contributions from teacher Hai.
After 10 years of teaching, she began to work as management in 1993, and had to face many difficulties. She has always concerned herself to consolidate the school, thus also helping her to be more mature. Her goal has been to build up a strong and high-quality school. Due to unanimity of the whole school, coordination from pupils’ parents, Binh My primary school has improved educational quality. In the 2010-2011 academic year, the school was ranked type 3 of educational quality. In 3 consecutive years (2011-2014), the school earned Outstanding Unit title, received emulation flag from provincial People’s Committee, and certificate of merit “Building friendly school, active students” in period of 2008-2013.
“What makes me happy is that all teachers and staff have coordinated, made contributions voluntarily to improve educational quality, create parents’ trust in the school. To me, my cause is a cause of happiness”, said teacher Hai.
MT Bui Thi Bich Phuong: Being happy because of being a teacher
Teacher Bui Thi Bich Phuong, who was born in 1970 at Binh Chuan commune, Thuan An town, has had an affection for teaching from an early age. Thus she decided to study at Binh Duong Pedagogic College. In 1990, with an excellent result, she graduated and was assigned to be a teacher of Di An primary school. She has worked for this school for over 24 years despite many difficulties.
Love for this profession, for her pupils, her industriousness, her devotion to teaching have made pupils, parents love and respect her more. Every day, she always rides a bicycle through 16 kilometers to go to school. To honor this teacher, provincial People’s Committee recognized her as excellent teacher, emulation soldier at provincial level, and bestowed Meritorious Teacher title.
“Since I was young, images of teachers have been so beautiful, so I decided to be a teacher. As becoming a teacher, I love my profession more and more. Due to love from pupils and parents, sympathy from friends, colleagues, all have formed affection for teaching that cannot be replaced. During more than 24 years, I have tried my best to create high-quality education; I also hope that everybody could support teachers so that they can devote themselves to educational cause”, said teacher Phuong.
MT Nguyen Thanh Phuong: Teaching is an art
Teacher Nguyen Thanh Phuong of Nguyen Viet Xuan secondary school has been loved by many pupils, because he has a unique teaching method, and always takes care of pupils, discovers their talents to cultivate.
In his drawing class, he teaches his pupils not only to draw but also everything, such as: to treasure everything, to perceive the beauty, to say nice words, and do kind deeds. He always put great efforts to devise original teaching methods to attract pupils.
He usually writes empirical initiatives, and has now 13 empirical initiatives at provincial level. His favorite one is “Educating good customs, traditions through painting classes”. He took his pupils to Ba Lua communal temple to paint what they felt and saw, thereby, he gave lessons of history and geography.
Teacher Truong Thi Hai, Nguyen Viet Xuan secondary school Vice Principal, said, apart from a teacher, teacher Phuong is also head of speciality group, Trade Union branch’s chairman, head of fine art speciality of provincial educational department. He has fulfilled all tasks of all positions. He has cultivated good pupils so that they won high prizes of national and provincial drawing contest.
