Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20 is a great festival of the education and training sector, an opportunity to honor teachers who have devoted themselves to the cause of "cultivating people". This year, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982-November 20, 2022), provincial education and training sector has organized many activities, creating healthy, useful and joyful playgrounds for the local teachers and students.
Animated cultural and sports activities
After 2 years of restricting the organization of activities, due to the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year, cultural, artistic and sports activities have been organized widely by provincial education and training sector and received an enthusiastic response from units. Provincial Department of Education and Training has just cooperated with the sector’s Trade Union to organize 3 big competitions for teachers and students in the province. These are the contests "Red Age Melody", "Teachers’ Singing Festival" and the traditional volleyball and badminton tournament of 2022. These are the opening playgrounds for animated activities to celebrate Vietnam Teachers' Day.

Many cultural and sports activities are organized by the local education and training sector towards Vietnam Teachers' Day
Being present at the 2022 traditional volleyball and badminton tournament in the education sector, we felt the vibrant and passionate atmosphere here. Truong Thi Kim Yen, teacher at An My High school in Thu Dau Mot city shared: “I see this as a healthy and practical playground for all teachers in these meaningful November days. This is also an opportunity for teachers and educational administrators in the province to meet, exchange teaching experience and strengthen mutual solidarity and closeness.
Towards November 20, the Divisions of Education and Training of districts, towns and cities have also organized competitions suitable to the local actual conditions. For example, Thuan An city’s Division of Education and Training has just successfully organized the round final of the art performance festival in celebration of 40 years of Vietnamese Teachers' Day. The education and training sector of Tan Uyen town will organize a series of activities, including contests "Teachers’ singing", "Teachers’ beauty" contest, a camping festival to celebrate Vietnam Teachers' Day, a writing contest "Teacher in my heart" ... All schools from primary to high levels have organized aniversary celebrations to help students remember the good moral of "respecting teachers".
Making efforts in good teaching, good learning
Visiting Tan Dinh primary school in Ben Cat town on the occasion that the school’s teachers and students were trying their best to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day. The emulation atmosphere of "Good teaching – good learning" existed on the excited faces of teachers and students. Vu Thi Hong Hoa, Principal of Tan Dinh high school said since early November, the school's management board has launched and implemented many emulation movements, namely “good teaching – good learning”, “building friendly schools, active students”, “Each teacher is a moral example of self-study, self-creation... All activities have taken place in a very lively atmosphere, creating conditions for teachers to demonstrate their professional competence, study and exchange experience in teaching; organized learning activities for students, effectively and creatively tapped and used teaching means and tools to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
In harmony with the enthusiastic emulation atmosphere of the whole country towards Vietnam Teachers' Day, many schools in the province have organized emulation activities on “good teaching – good learning” and effectively implemented emulation movements, striving to gain the best results. Accordingly, teachers have applied information technology, active teaching methods, organized experiential-creative activities, etc. to create an atmosphere of exciting competition and bring excited hours to students while promoting teaching staff to constantly innovate teaching methods in line with educational orientations and successfully complete noble tasks in the cause of "cultivating people".
Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Director of provincial Department of Education and Training said that the activities to celebrate Vietnam Teachers' Day have aimed at educating and promoting the nation's good tradition of respecting teachers; especially opportunely encouraged teaching staff, administrators and employees to uphold pride in the tradition of teaching profession. They have also contributed to opportunely encouraging teaching staff to overcome difficulties, creating a positive change in training, improving professional capacity, raising the awareness, responsibility and honor of teachers to continue dedicating to the cause of "cultivating people", being determined to successfully carry out the tasks of the 2022-2023 school year.
