Anti-Covid-19 forces further maintained

With the spirit of "fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy", the province's anti-Covid-19 forces and support ones are not afraid of hardships, volunteering on the front line against the pandemic. In the coming "new normal" conditions, the province will continue arranging and recruiting human resources, especially health workers when delegations finish supporting the province in Covid-19 prevention and control

Mobilizing human resources against pandemic

According to statistics, up to now, there have been 57 delegations from the Government and other localities with 3,309 people supporting Binh Duong in the fight against the pandemic. Especially, the active support from the Ministry of Health’s Special Task Force in Binh Duong and Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital has helped the province well control the pandemic, reducing Covid-19 mortality rate.

In addition, armed forces have provided support to the province with 4,378 troops participating in coordinating with local forces to realize anti-Covid-19 activities at checkpoints, isolation and blockade points; carry out patrols, ensuring security and order, protecting hospitals and medical facilities treating Covid-19 patients. These support forces have also supported the local health sector  in taking samples for testing and vaccination; realized green separation for vehicles transporting essential goods; transported food, foodstuffs and essential goods to people in the "red zones".

To strengthen anti-Covid-19 forces, the province has established 5,788 community-based Covid-19 groups and 9,308 Covid-19 safety groups in enterprises while expanding the 1022 hotline to receive people’s information and requests on emergency, hospital transfer, medical consultancy, relief, security and order. Especially, the province has also set up anti-Covid-19 battle information centers from provincial and district levels and formed up 3-level quick response teams to promptly deal with urgent requests of the people. During the period of strengthening social distancing measures, the 1022 hotline received more than 56,100 calls, including 4,154 medical calls (accounting for 7.4% of total calls), 21,277 social security calls (accounting for 37.88% of total calls) and the remainder on security-order and other fields.

Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Trong Co, Deputy Commander of provincial Military Command said that since the 4th wave of Covid-19 pandemic, provincial Military Command has directed units to apply camping orders. Accordingly, 100% of officers and soldiers of the local armed forces have stayed in their units and are always in a state of readiness to fight around the clock in hot spots and complex areas, greatly contributing to controlling the pandemic. In the coming time, the local armed forces will always promote their role, sense of responsibility, standing side by side with functional forces to continue participating in the fight against the pandemic, and make every effort to fulfill a task of protecting public health,  contributing to bringing people's lives back to the "new normal" state.

Arrangement, training of medical human resources

According to Vo Van Minh, Chairman of provincial People's Committee, the province is currently reorganizing the local medical forces, further calling and mobilizing retired nurses, doctors to return to work, selecting recovered F0 cases for training and arranging jobs at  hospitals while urgently opening training courses for the local forces to gradually replace the support ones at all 3 treatment floors... Previously, provincial People's Committee also requested support forces from other localities, especially armed forces to further stay and assist the province in Covid-19 prevention and control.

The province has also continued maintaining the force of cadres, civil servants, and workers participating in the local fight against the pandemic. Based on on the local Covid-19 situation, provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control will give specific suggestions after September 30. Initially, the province will reorganize treatment floors and medical staff accordingly. The province has also agreed to train and foster 1,300 health workers to serve Covid-19 treatment facilities and mobile medical stations. Among them, 600 are for mobile medical stations, 700 for 3-storey treatment facilities. This force is mobilized from retired medical staff, public-private healthcare facilities and volunteers.

Currently, the province’s health sector is reorganizing its human resurce at the local requirements in the new period when support delegations from the Government and other localities are going to end their anti-Covid-19 support in the province. Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of provincial Department of Health said that in order to strengthen its grassroots health system, the department is expected to coordinate with provincial Medical College to open a training course for medical staff to implement the tasks of mobile medical  stations and care for Covid-19 patients in early October. The training program will bend on guiding the deployment of mobile medical station tasks, the process of handling and treating F0 cases at home, and training for doctors, nurses, and medical staff taking care of Covid-19 patients... It is for health workers in quarters and hamlets, retired health workers in and out of the public health sector; volunteers, full-time and part-time officials in communes, wards and townships; doctors, nurses, medical staff at medical facilities, medical stations, general clinics, private hospitals; doctors, nurses, medical staff of the province.

The province has also agreed to train and foster 1,300 health workers to serve Covid-19 treatment facilities and mobile medical stations.
