In 2018, scientific and technological tasks were innovated, associated with reality. The Department organized a series of council meetings to identify specialized tasks to submit to Provincial Science and Technology Council through a list of scientific research and technological development tasks... For the implementation of Binh Duong Smart City project, The Department also hosted many programs and workshops to draw experiences of master planning for a smart city construction and an ecological innovation system, to organize playgrounds for children in the province, to organize WTA Conference and Horasis 2018, to focus on issues related to smart city development...
In 2019, science and technology sector will enhance scientific research and development activities; strengthen the integration of research institutes and universities with enterprises and departments to order scientific research tasks; focus on implementing tasks assigned by Provincial People's Committee, especially Binh Duong Smart City construction; develop mechanisms, policies and measures to promote scientific and technological activities in districts, towns and city in the province...
On this occasion, Nguyen Minh Chau, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology, received Third-class Labor Medal by the Government for his achievements in 2013-2017. In addition, 3 collectives were recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as Excellent Labor Collectives; 2 individuals received certificate of merit by Provincial People's Committee for their achievements in 2018.
