*Early Mar.9, Tan Uyen town’s Red Cross Society and Youth Union coordinated with Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the first-stage voluntary blood campaign of 2016.
More than 320 officials, civil servants, Youth Union members, pupils, Red Cross members and locals participated in the campaign. After being checked medically, 273 were eligible for blood donation.
*Early Mar.9, Chanh Nghia ward’s 5th Congress of the Elderly for 2016 and 2021 tenure took place at the ward’s People’s Committee in TDM city.
The whole ward is now home to 2,906 elderly people, including 1,406 members of the local Association of the Elderly. In the next tenure, the association will strive to admit additional 600 new members.
*Since early this year, the Trade Union of Ben Cat town-based Industrial Parks has coordinated with Investment Service Consulting Joint Stock Company to generate jobs for more than 770 laborers; guided businesses to set and adjust 2016’s salary scale and payroll for laborers; organized laborers’ congresses, signed mass labor deals; carried out activities taking care of laborers on the occasion of the 2016 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
