* Two artists recognised as elite in Binh Duong
On the morning of March 14, Binh Duong provincial Union of Literature and Arts collaborated with the provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Division, and the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to organize a meeting with artists at the beginning of the spring of the Year of the Yang Wood Dragon 2024.
Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Le Song Tung, Head of the Southern Region Representative Committee of the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts; leading departments and agencies of the province.
At the meeting, delegates and nearly 200 artists active in Literature and Arts within and outside the province were informed about the province's socio-economic achievements and the contributions of artists in 2023.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha proposed that the Provincial Literary and Artistic Association continue to innovate in content and methods of operation, gather and unite a wide range of artists, build and develop the organization stronger. Thereby, encouraging artists passionate about creating valuable works that resonate in cultural life and in the hearts of the public. Beside that, the association needs to strive more to have more and more large-scale, high-quality, long-lasting literary and artistic works.
This time, the provincial People's Committee has awarded certificates of merit to 2 members who have made significant contributions to the cause of Literature and Arts in 2023; the Southern Region Representative Board of the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts awarded the Commemorative Medal "for the cause of Vietnamese Literature and Arts" to 6 members; the provincial leaders presented flowers to congratulate the individuals, families of artists who were awarded, conferred the title of outstanding artists.
