Leaders of departments, agencies visit stall at the 2015 festive day of giving strength for laborers.
At the talk-show themed “giving strength for young workers” held by the provincial youth union, many laborers and young workers expressed their aspiration of enjoying a stable life in alien land.
Nguyen Thanh Liem, head of the provincial Committee for Mass Mobilization asked sectors, mass bodies and enterprises to make greater efforts to take care of laborers’ spiritual and material life.
Focusing on improving knowledge
Study to improve knowledge and skill is aspiration of numerous young workers working at industrial parks throughout the provincial industrial parks. Tran Hunh Anh, worker of Phu Xuan Co.Ltd. in Thu Dau Mot city joins in an accounting class at Dong Nam Technology and Economics School. Hung Anh said “I want to get a degree to seek out a stable job for my future”.
With the legitimate demand of laborers, the provincial youth union steered grassroot youth unions to open training classes for workers.
Many young people determine to get degrees to enjoy stable jobs at companies and factories. For instance, Dinh Van Thien, born in 1983, worker of Phat Trien Company in Phu Loi ward, Thu Dau Mot city is originated from the Northern province of Ha Tinh. At the age of 18, he arrived in Binh Duong to seek out a job with the purpose of supporting his younger brothers’ study. After his younger brothers graduated high schools, he started pursuing an IT class at the provincial vocational school. Getting this degree, he has enjoyed a stable job at quality control department of the company so far.
With the increasing demand on study, the provincial youth union for corporate bloc set out some measures to socialize educational activities, launch projects and programs of IT universalization, job placement and assistance activity for youths.
Useful playgrounds for workers
Apart from demand on study, young workers wish to enjoy useful playgrounds in conformity with their working time. Ho Thi Hong Thuy, head of sub-society for young workers under Applied Technology Precision Co.Ltd. in Ben Cat town suggested that activities for young workers should suitable workers’ working time.
Creating playgrounds for young workers is task of Supportive Center for Young Workers. Since 2013, the center has held more than 100 significant activities to lure hundreds of young workers.
Moreover, the center often holds cultural and artistic contests for young workers, opens market-days for youths and creates weekend playgrounds for young workers at sub-societies for young workers.
With over 75% of alien workers, Foster Electrics Co.Ltd. well implements activities to increase attachment between company and laborers. Aside from taking care of material life of laborers, the company establishes clubs of blood bank, football, volleyball, literature, charity, football fan and more.
At the talk-show, Nguyen Thanh Liem said that young workers play an important role for local development. He asked departments, mass bodies and enterprises to collect young workers’ aspiration to take care of them better.
