Binh Duong has lured countless immigrant laborers, so demand on transport means on Tet is very high. The local transport sector is ready to cater for transport of people on Tet 2011.
On the last days of lunar December 2010, the transport work has become heavier, owing the rising demand on transport. Tran Viet Hung, acting head of Management Department of the local Transport Department, said the local transport department steered local transport units to ensure services for passengers before, during and after Tet. According to Hung, coach price at Binh Duong Terminal is adjusted to increase 40-60% for routes to the Northern on lunar Dec. 21-23 and 40% for routes to the Western on lunar Dec. 26 to lunar Jan. 2.

Binh Duong Terminal managerial board, said it would add more coaches to ensure that there would be enough seats for passengers. Accordingly, the number of long distance and inter-provincial routes has increased sharply. The routes serving for Tet holiday will be increased from lunar Dec. 20-29. Routes from the province to Northern provinces will be strengthened to 40 routes per day from lunar Dec. 26-28 whilst 80 routes per day will be for the routes to the Western provinces.
Binh Duong Coach Station director Pham Van Son, said “The station will minimize tardiness during Tet.” Tien Ly coach owner, running North-South route said that many passengers have started to return their hometown for Tet. This year, regulations on transport are strengthened. If any coaches carry overload, traffic policemen will solve seriously.
