The nine lanterns of idiomatic meanings of “pleasant journey” (Thuan buom xuoi gio), “be satisfied in mind with the better of all things” (Van su thang y), “chamber full of jade and gold” (Kim ngoc man duong), “lucky buying, profitable selling” (Mua may ban dat), “four symbols of fortune” (Tu quy hung long), “bliss of the saint” (Thanh mau ban phuoc), “resource-rich chamber” (Tai nguyen quang duong), “peaceful family unity” (Hop gia binh an), “five blessings to the family” (Ngu phuoc lam mon), generally for wishes of best luck, peaceful and auspicious year.
The minimum price was at VND 39 million to the lantern of Tu quy hung long and the highest rated lantern of Kim ngoc man duong was bought by owner of Restaurant No. 168 in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Organizer informed that the amount gained from the mentioned auctioned would be donated to Chinese community Le Van Tam Elementary School, and charity drives of house building and Agent Orange victims support.
