After more than 3 years of operation, the Traffic Incident Response Team of Bac Tan Uyen district has become a strong assistant of the district police in ensuring traffic safety and crime prevention.

Specialized team handling traffic incidents in Bac Tan Uyen district cooperated with the Traffic Police Team of Public Order of the district to inspect the compliance with the law on traffic safety in the area

Timely presence

During the duty hours, the Mobile Task Force for handling traffic incidents in Bac Tan Uyen district received information about a traffic accident on DH411 road (the section passing through Dat Cuoc commune) caused by a self-fall. Immediately after that, the members of the Mobile Task Force for handling traffic incidents in the district, as assigned by the Traffic Police Team - Public Order of Bac Tan Uyen district, arrived at the scene to direct traffic flow, protect the scene, and assist in transporting the injured person to the hospital.

According to the statistics of the district police of Bac Tan Uyen, from 2021, the Mobile Team has participated in handling 35 reports of traffic incidents and 55 reports of traffic accidents. Daily, the Mobile Team also performs the task of traffic control at 5 checkpoints in the area, contributing to ensuring smooth traffic.

Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Khau, Deputy Chief of Police of Bac Tan Uyen district, said that in accordance with the plan of the provincial People's Committee, the district People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen has established a Mobile Task Force to handle traffic incidents in the district in order to effectively implement the "4 on the spot" principle in promptly resolving traffic incidents and accidents. To ensure the effectiveness of this force, the district police have assigned all members of the Mobile Team to participate in training courses on handling incidents related to security and traffic safety.

Continual strengthening of the forces

Until now, the Mobile Traffic Incident Handling Team of Bac Tan Uyen district has 16 members, including 5 members with college and university degrees, and 4 members who are party members. According to the target, Bac Tan Uyen district is recruiting 20 members, however, currently the salary and policy regime for the Mobile Traffic Incident Handling Team is still low, so it has not attracted many people to participate. Therefore, the district police of Bac Tan Uyen is coordinating with departments and organizations to disseminate information to the people in order to select individuals who meet the requirements to participate, ensuring both quantity and quality. At the same time, the district police propose and advise on additional financial support for this force to ensure their peace of mind in their work, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and public order in the district.

To promote effectiveness

After a period of operation, the Mobile Task Force for Traffic Incident Handling in Bac Tan Uyen district has provided strong support to the Traffic Police - Public Order Police force in checkpoint duty, traffic regulation; protecting the scene and resolving traffic accident cases; actively coordinating with the District Police's Team 171 to organize armed patrols to prevent and combat crime, thereby detecting many cases related to security and public order.

Specifically, on April 22, the Mobile Team for Handling Traffic Incidents in Bac Tan Uyen District, in coordination with the District Police Team 171, carried out a mission on Hoa Binh Street in VSIP 2 Industrial Park (Suoi Tre Ward, Tan Binh Town) and discovered Le Anh Tuan (born in 1997, from Dak Lak) driving a motorcycle carrying Tran Duc Minh (born in 2004, from Soc Trang) with suspicious signs, so they requested the vehicle to stop for administrative inspection. During the inspection, the patrol team discovered that Tuan was hiding a nylon bag containing sythesized drugs, which he bought for 300,000 VND to use in his rental. The patrol team made a record of handing over the two suspects, the vehicle, and the evidence to the local police in Tan Binh town for processing according to regulations.

Previously, when this force coordinated with undercover patrols in Tan Dinh commune, they caught Tran Minh Loc (born in 1995), Tran Minh Hung (born in 1991), and Nguyen Tuan Em (born in 1995), all residing in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province, for the act of stealing electric cables on the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang power line. Through quick investigation, the suspects admitted that from February 7th to March 6th, they had successfully carried out 6 thefts of electric cables on this route, specifically in Tan Dinh commune, with a total value of approximately 72 million VND.
