Early June 24, Bau Bang district’s Veterans Association held the "Exemplary Veteran" Emulation Congress for the 2019-2024 period.
The district’s Veterans Association comprises of 7 sub-associations, with 43 branches and 1,413 members. Under the "Exemplary Veteran" emulation movement, the association is always proactive to build annual emulation movements and deploy them to its branches and members for implementation. Many movements, including the movement to build mutual aid funds for economic development and the movement of "Veterans helping each other reduce poverty and excel in economics"...have achieved good results. Currently, 1,110 members have a good or wealthy standard of living, accounting for 78% of the total members. There are 293 members with the average standard of living, accounting for 21%; 10 members classified as poor households and 1 near-poor member under the province's criteria.
In the coming time, the district’s Veterans Association will further mobilize veterans to unite, promote the essence and tradition of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers," and adhere to the principles of "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation", buiding a comprehensively strong organization, excellently fulfilling assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, and the resolutions of veterans' congresses for the 2022-2027 term.
At the congress, a delegation to attend the higher-level "Exemplary Veteran" Emulation Congress was introduced. Chairman of the district’s People's Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 15 groups and 30 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the "Exemplary Veteran" emulation movement for the 2019-2024 period.
