Bau Bang district’s Labor Union is actively mobilizing enterprises to support bus tickets, offer gifts and money to workers who are not able to return home for the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2021.

Vo Van Truong, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s Labor Union said that in early 2020, the district’s Labor Union has coordinated with the district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize a program on “Gathering in Tet holiday”; gave 77 bus tickets for needy workers to return home for Tet with a total expense of nearly VND100million and Tet gifts worth VND250million for those who could not return home for Tet. On the Tet festival 2021, along with the local State budget, the district’s Labor Union will continue mobilizing resources from enterprises to offer bus tickets and Tet gifts to laborers with difficult circumstances.

Bau Bang district’s Labor Union and relevant units organize sport festivals, creating useful playgrounds for laborers in 2020
Over the past time, trade Union locals at district-based enterprises also organized many activities in celebration of the Lunar New Year, including organizing art performances, lucky draw programs with valuable gifts like bicycles, motorcycles, TVs, electric cookers, washing machines, vouchers…As many as 6,200 Tet gifts were given for laborers on this occasion. Some enterprises, namely RK Resources Co.Ltd, Sanmiguel Hormel VN Co.Ltd., Polytex Eartern Co.Ltd., Arda Co.Ltd., Gang Viet Joint Stock Co., well realized the above activities. Whilst, some others like ECCO Co.Ltd., Phu Thanh Co.Ltd…organized free bus trips for workers to return home for Tet with a total expense of more than VND1billion.
In a bid to take care of workers, in 2020, district-based trade union locals also visited, gave Tet gifts for more than 808 trade unionists with more than VND200million; supported trade unionists with fatal diseases from the “Trade Union House” Fund…The district’s Labor Union also supported more than VND37million for 75 trade unionists facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic; donated hundreds of gifts, tons of rice from donors to needy workers.
Taking care of workers ‘spiritual life
Mr.Truong said that the district’s Labor Union has always encouraged and had timely share with laborers, helping them keep their mind on work. Particularly, the district’s Labor Union coordinated with trade union locals to create useful playgrounds, including competitions on football, volleyball, singing, for laborers; considered and awarded “Beloved book, notebook” and “Making dreams come true” scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year to the offspring of civil servants and laborers with difficult circumstances.
Especially, the district’s Labor Union quickly worked with localities and trade union locals to realize many support programs for laborers amid the complicate development of Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr.Truong added that with the instruction and support of provincial Labor Union, the district’s Party Committee and People’s Committee, the district’s Labor Union in collaboration with trade union locals well organized many activities taking care of the spiritual and material lives of laborers. According to him, mobilizing social resources to give care for laborers with difficult circumstances, fatal diseases received consensus from enterprises, civil servants and laborers over the past time, contributing to improving the role of Trade Union, winning the faith of the society. In the coming time, the district’s Labor Union will boost propaganda and mobilization of establishment of trade union locals in non-State businesses, thereby upholding the effects of organizing conferences for laborers and signing collective labor deals…
