Becamex IDC - A pioneer enterprise in gratitude activities

At the end of July, while the whole country is heading to War Invalids - Martyrs Day (27 Jul), a delegation of Becamex International Hospital doctors visited, examined health and treated Vietnamese heroic mothers in Thuan An and Thu Dau Mot. Tran Thi Phai, daughter of mother Bui Thi Lang (in Hiep An ward, Thu Dau Mot city), happily said, since doctors of Becamex International Hospital came to their house to examined health and give medicine to her mother, she has been much better. Previously, her mother was very weak, had to visit hospital regularly. Now her mother is able to walk normally and feed herself. Doctors in the hospital brought this happiness.

Leaving mother Lang’s house, the doctor delegation of Becamex International Hospital continued to visit 78-year-old Tran Thi Tu (An Son commune, Thuan An town) to check her health. Mother Tu said, since doctors of Becamex International Hospital visited, her health has been much improved. "Being healthy today, I would like to thank Becamex IDC, Becamex International Hospital, and doctors that have taken care of her, wholeheartedly examined her health, and given treatment", mother Tu said.

Dr. Pham Thi To Tam, Becamex International Hospital, said: "I am very honored to be on behalf of Becamex International Hospital doctors to examine health and care for Vietnamese heroic mothers. I am very happy that I have contributed a small part to gratitude work of the hospital in particular and the whole society in general”.

In recent years, beside production and business development, Becamex IDC has become a pioneer in doing well social work, including gratitude activities. From 2013, Becamex IDC has launched a medical examination program serving heroic mothers and 1/4 –wounded soldiers at 2 major hospitals, My Phuoc General Hospital and Becamex International Hospital. Accordingly, every month doctors visit Vietnamese heroic mothers at their house to give periodical health checks and free medicines. Particularly for seriously ill mothers who are in need of emergency care, hospitals provide mothers with transportation, inpatient treatment, and best healthcare service without any costs”.

In addition, Becamex IDC granted priority card and free treatment to 100% patients, who are 1/4 –wounded soldiers in the province. Only in 2017 and 2018, Becamex IDC donated VND87 billion to gratitude fund and fund for the poor, of which the amount spent on medical examination and treatment for policy beneficiaries was VND10 billion.

Presenting more houses to revolutionary contributors

Implementing the policy of the Party and the State on caring for revolutionary contributors, in recent years, the province has mobilized resources from State budget and socialization to care for policy families. Becamex IDC has become a leading enterprise in implementing policies to care for policy beneficiaries.

Recently, in the Dinh Hoa social housing zone (TDM City), Becamex IDC presented 13 houses to policy beneficiaries in the province. In August, Becamex IDC will continue to offer houses at ​​My Phuoc and Bau Bang social housing area. This was one of the social activities on occasion of the 71th War Invalids - Martyrs Day. Each presented house has an area of ​​30m2, worth VND160 million, included some essential furniture.

Thanh Van Minh in Vinh Phu ward, Thuan An town, said, in 1994, after returning from military service, he came to Vinh Phu ward, got married, and 2 daughters. His older daughter is paralyzed in both legs. In 2010, his wife left, he alone raised two children. He must do many jobs. Recently, he received a house presented by Becamex IDC. "When I was informed about housing support by local officials, we were cried out for joy. In the past, a house was just a dream, but now that dream comes true. Now, I've got a house to live in, I can save an amount from the house rent before. I believe in the future, our lives would be much better”, Mr. Minh said.

Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Deputy Director of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said that in recent years, Becamex IDC has been a leading enterprise in social security works in the province, especially in the care of revolutionary contributors. Ms. Hang said that after having stable housing, revolutionary contributors and their family would have more conditions to stabilize their lives.
