In 2010, provincial Study Promotion Society will strive to have 100% of communes, wards and townships with community-based study centers; develop around 150,000 members, or 10% of total population; gain the set targets of recognition to fondness for learning families and study promotion families…, according to society chairman Nguyen Xuan Vinh.
The movement of “Building fondness for learning families and study promotion families” was developed across the province last year. The whole province had 27,716 families recognized these titles. Provincial Study Promotion Societies at all levels spent more than VND10.5bln on study and talent promotion scholarships. So far, there have been 83 out of 89 communes, wards and townships setting up community-based study centers. These center over time organized useful activities for their members to develop homebased business, including aquaculture techniques, how to prevent bird flu, how to raise wild boars…
