The Trade Union of Ben Cat district-based Industrial Parks (IPs) has just held a conference to sum up its activities in 2010 and design orientations, tasks for 2011.
Last year, the Trade Union of Ben Cat district-based IPs promoted dissemination and education activities of the Party and State’s policies and guidelines among employers and employees, including the Labor Code, the Trade Union Law, the Social Insurance Law, the Health Insurance Law, the Unemployment Insurance Law…; set up additional 30 trade union locals with 3,249 new unionists. There were also 6 outstanding trade unionists admitted into the Communist Party of Vietnam. Currently, the Trade Union directly manages 11 trade union locals with 23,530 trade unionists.
The Trade Union also paid more attention to taking care of the lives of laborers and protecting their rights and interests last year. Currently, there are 16 businesses building tenement houses with 1,843 rooms for their staff. The Trade Union also teamed up with Becamex ISC’s Job Center to generate jobs for 2,699 laborers; cooperated with functional agencies to strengthen inspection and monitoring over implementation of the Labor Law, the Trade Union Law among businesses. As a result, almost all businesses in the local IPs realized the Labor Law with 31,256 laborers having labor deals and the rate of laborers herein joining social health reached 91.17% of total.
In 2011, the Trade Union will further speed up implementation of the Resolution No.20 on “Continuing building up the Vietnamese working class in the period of intensified industrialization and modernization”, the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign, the “Building a cultural lifestyle among laborers” campaign, the “green-clean-nine” movements; strive to set up additional 15 trade union locals, develop additional 2,000 trade unionists and get 50% of trade union locals recognized as “strong trade union locals”.
On this occasion, provincial Labor Union awarded the emulation banner to Soul Gear ViNa Co.Ltd. Many other collectives and individuals were also awarded the certificates of merit from provincial Labor Union and the Trade Union of Ben Cat district-based IPs for their achievements in emulation movements and trade union activities last year.
