In 2023, Ben Cat City raised over 1.3 billion VND for social security activities. As a result, the number of poor households in the city has now decreased to 259 households, accounting for 0.79%. Of these, 142 households are poor according to the Central standards, accounting for 0.43%; 117 households are poor according to the provincial standard, accounting for 0.36%.
At the ceremony, agencies, units and businesses donated more than 1 billion VND to the fund. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the program presented gifts to 26 students having difficult circumstances, each worth 5 million VND; Ben Cat City People's Committee awarded 18 groups and individuals with many contributions to the City's "For the Poor" Fund in 2023.
