In Q1 201, Ben Cat district vaccinated 5,825 domestic animals and made 1,600 doses of rabies vaccine on dogs and cats; tightened control over the slaughter of 2,284 buffaloes, cows, 13,369 pigs and 37.042 fowls; quarantined 70,195 pigs, 331,347 fowls and 272,160 eggs. The district’s inter-sectorial inspection squad was also ordered to tighten control over the slaughter and the trade of animals and their products. There were 103 wrong cases with total fine of more than VND20mln.
Ben Cat district will further focus on preventing diseases in poultry and cattle; promote the activities of inter-sectorial inspection squads at all levels; implement the first vaccination campaign of 2013; maintain vaccination against mouth-and-month disease in cattle, etc.
