In the first half of 2014, the program of “Tet for the poor, the disabled and Agent Orange (AO) victims” launched by Ben Cat district’s Red Cross Society has mobilized 5,900 gifts from donors for the poor, lonely elderly people, disabled children and AO victims across the district with a total expense of more than VND1.7bln.
The district’s Red Cross Society has also mobilized organizations and individuals to present 27 wheelchairs to disabled people; visited and encouraged policy beneficiary, poor families and AO victims.
