Effectiveness from a campaign

The campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” was effectively implemented by Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society over the past time.

Nguyen Minh Nhut, Chairman of the town’s Red Cross Society said that the whole town now has a total of 41 humanitarian addresses managed by the society. Among the 41 humanitarian addresses, there are 17 enjoying the monthly allowance of VND500,000 each and the remainder with VND300,000 each…

It is known that since early this year, the town’s Red Cross Society and its branches have donated more than VND420million and 181 gifts worth more than VND54million to 204 humanitarian addresses across the town.

Pervasion of significant movements

With the efforts by the local Red Cross Societies at all levels, the town’s Red Cross activities have reached improvements with effective movements, including the  “Tet for poor people and Agent Orange victims” campaign, the movement of building “red cross” houses, charity kitchens at the town’s Health Center, the Humanitarian Month…

One of activities effectively done by the town’s Red Cross Society in recent times was the Humanitarian Month 2020 and the Humanitarian Market-Day with zero dong”. According to Mr.Nhut, during the Humanitarian Month, the town’s Red Cross Society and its branches gave 1,445 gifts worth more than VND405million for the local needy people. Also during the month, the society also supported those who have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic. Many organizations and individuals supported more than VND14million, more than 6,000 medical masks, nearly 21,000 fabric masks, 1,135 bottles of hand sanitizer worth VND230million to the local Red Cross Society for Covid-19 prevention. Noticeably, the town’s Red Cross Society also mobilized donors to install “free rice ATMs” in My Phuoc ward in a bid to support the local people affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

The effectiveness of humanitarian activities done by the town’s Red Cross Societies at all levels was asserted by specific support deeds and figures. Especially, each program, movement was done by the whole heart of the local red cross cadres, creating the pervasion of love, leaving warm sentiments on both givers and receivers.
