*112 needy people offered helpe from the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”
Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society has just held its 5th voluntary blood donation stage of 2014 at My Phuoc General Hospital.
The Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation of Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society said that more than 200 units of blood were given in this stage, bringing the total amount of blood donated since early this year to nearly 1,500 units of blood at the town-based hospitals’ demand for medical emergency and treatment.
*In response to the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee, Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society last month mobilized members to donate 100 kg of rice and more than VND15mln to 112 needy people. The “Charity rice jar” program also gave 65kg of rice worth more than VND700,000 for 7 other needy people.
Through the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”, Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society has affirmed its main role in the local humanitarian activities, directly taking caring of people with difficult circumstances, helping them rise up and integrate into the community.
