Ben Cat's Trade Union spends over VND2.3 billion assisting needy trade unionists and workers

On the morning of June 6, the Ben Cat City Trade Union conducted a preliminary review of union activities for the first six months of 2025. The meeting was attended by Mrs. Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice President of Bin Duong provincial Trade Union, local leaders, and over 200 affiliated grassroots unions.

In the initial six months of 2025, Ben Cat city Trade Union has persisted in enhancing its engagement with grassroots organizations, closely monitoring the circumstances of union members and workers. It has collaborated with city departments and branches to oversee the enforcement of labor laws and offer legal counsel to union members and workers for document review. The average income for workers is between 6.5 and 7 million VND per person per month. In addition to salaries, businesses have also focused on addressing the mid-shift meal policy, bonus structures, and other allowances for workers.

Concerning social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, approximately 90% of enterprises comply with regulations. Labor relations within grassroots unions are typically stable, harmonious, and focused on shared interests. In the first half of the year, the Ben Cat City Labor Federation welcomed 1,221 new members, achieving 24.42% of its target.

In the programs “Tet Sum Vay” and “Worker Month,” the unit provided assistance to 4,000 workers and laborers facing challenging circumstances, with a total budget exceeding 2.3 billion VND. In the realm of negotiating and signing collective labor agreements, the unit advised 153 enterprises, resulting in the signing of 131 new agreements that encompass salary, bonus, and welfare provisions.
