In the morning of October 26, a seminar on BIM technology and construction applications organized by the Provincial Construction Association took place at the provincial Convention and Exhibition Center. Attending the seminar were Mr. Vo Hoang Ngan, Director of Department of Construction; leaders of the provincial Construction Association together with experts, scientists and more than 300 representatives of construction enterprises in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hao, Chairwoman of the provincial Construction Association, said BIM (Building Information Modeling) is the process of creating and using information models in construction works, from the stage design (drawing documents), construction (volume management, measures, labor safety ...), building management (maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment) and throughout the life of the project . Currently, BIM is widely applied in many advanced countries around the world because of many practical benefits.
In Vietnam, BIM implementation and application still face many difficulties and challenges, due to many subjective and objective reasons. The seminar was organized by the Provincial Construction Association to disseminate BIM technology and introduce new technology solutions in consultancy, design and construction of construction works.
At the seminar, participants listened to presentations on BIM and its application in construction management; BIM application in Thailand; BIM application in Vietnam and limitations in the application process; technology trends and solutions to model construction works.
Talking about BIM and the benefits of BIM, Mr. Le Nhu Thach, Chairman of Bcons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, said that the purpose of BIM is that the participants can easily visualize shapes and information. and issues related to the project before, during construction. This reduces incurred when the project is completed. In Vietnam, BIM is strongly applied in the field of construction. The benefit of using BIM is to shorten the project time, reduce the work of error correction, minimize errors in construction documents, limit conflicts, disputes.
Through the workshop, the provincial Construction Association hopes to contribute to the construction of the province to develop more and more sustainably.
