Boosting education
The campaign of “Vietnamese youths study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings” has been seen as a guideline for all actions of youths in Binh Chuan ward.
After five-year implementation of the campaign, Binh Chuan ward’s Youth Union honored 25 individuals and collectives for their excellent performance in the campaign. The local Youth Union also set up a club named “those who light up the dream of Binh Chuan’s youths”.
Such these apart, the local Youth Union sped up traditional education and implementation of civilized lifestyle among youths.
Action programs realized
Realizing the important role of intellectuals to the development of the country, Binh Chuan ward’s Youth Union launched many learning movements among youths, helping them raise their qualification.
Many talk shows on the national renovation in the industrialization and modernization period were also organized in the last tenure, affirming that learning was the key to national construction and development.
According to statistics, 253 youths of Binh Chuan ward now attend training courses at universities and technical secondary schools. The local Youth Union and its affiliates also actively mobilized poor youths to further pursue their learning.

Moreover, the local Youth Union teamed up with the local Bank for Social Policies to provide a total loan of over VND3.6bln for 152 youths to develop homebased business. Thanks to this loan, many youths like Nguyen Minh Canh, Nguyen Hong Nhung, Mai Phuong Binh…have so far risen up out of poverty and step by step stabilized their life.
Youths herein also actively got involved in many significant activities for the sake of public welfare, including “summer volunteer campaign”, “Youth Month”, “Green Sunday”…
In the last tenure, the local Youth Union presented 30 uniforms for youths; upgraded rural roads with a total expense of more than VND57mln; donated saving books of more than VND10mln to needy households; well realized the “Youths defend the nation” movement, especially in the task of enlistment. Over the past 5 years, there were 114 youths making their military service, including 6 Party members…
Many Youth Union members, namely Nguyen The Quang, Nguyen Ngoc Tan, Nguyen Van Hai…were also awarded the certificates of merit by provincial Police Agency for their achievements in the anti-crime and social evil movement.
Upholding achievements done, Binh Chuan ward’s Youth Union will strive work out 5 “model road” works, promote movements on socio-economic development and national defence…in the new tenure, says Youth Union secretary Do Thanh Phuong.
