On the revolutionary land, Thu Dau Mot and Song Be of yore and Binh Duong of today, revolutionary fire is welcomed timely. After preparation, Binh Nham Communist party committee was established in August, 1930. After its inception, Binh Nham party committee set up Red farming societies in some communes and economic societies across pottery kilns and carpenter workshops, luring participation of numerous laborers. This force was ready to join in struggles for freedom. Earlier, “Red Phu Rieng” party committee and Di An Train party committee were established to timely instruct people and workers’ struggle movements for the sake of excelling revolutionary goals.

Amid difficulties of consequences of wars, Song Be provincial party committee and people had a profound belief in the homeland restructure. Therefore, they continued to implement their mission of promoting revolutionary cause of the country, reinforcing and protecting revolutionary authority as well as recovering production and eyeing socialism.
20 years after the national liberation, Song Be province experienced difficult stages to overcome challenges. After 1990, local socio-economy showed an important change. Initial achievements of investment attraction, foundation and development of industrial parks, building of socio-cultural institutions make important premises in economics and politics for rapid and stable growth in the industrialization and modernization.

Implementing the Party’s renewal cause, Binh Duong provincial party committee and authority has set out many instructions and new policies in conformity with concrete conditions of the locality. Applying policy of “rolling out red carpet for investors”, focusing on developing industrial parks and more, the local administration has made efforts to create premises for local economic structure transfer.
The local party committee’s big policies of inspiring internal force, talent attraction, investment attraction and more rapidly open new historic pages for the process of local construction and development.
After nearly 20 years of local re-establishment, under management of the provincial party committee, administration plus effort of people and business community, Binh Duong socio-economy has reached great achievements with goals higher than the country’s average level. In order to meet development requirement in the new stage, the local administration decided to adjust the local socio-economy’s overall planning till 2020 and supplement planning till 2025. On June 11, 2014, the Government Prime Minister ratified local socio-economy’s overall planning till 2020 and supplemented planning till 2025. Prime Minister stated that prior to 2020 Binh Duong would be a central city. Accordingly, Binh Duong city will be a civilized and modern city and become one of developed urban areas of the Southern key economic zone, impacting strongly on neighboring provinces and cities. This is also the urban area leading the country in growth pace and economic structure transfer rapidly and strongly.
In terms of economics, the city economic structure will continue to involve in industry-service-agriculture with average income of nearly VND134mil per capita per year and VND264mil per capita per year and more.
From now till 2020, Binh Duong will invest a series of projects to connect with the Southern key economic zone. Besides, the locality will focus on developing hi-tech and environmentally friendly products; building trade infrastructure and modern service; strongly developing banking and financial service, tourism, transport and import and export and so on.
85 years under the leadership of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Binh Duong provincial party committee and administration and people write glorious historic pages in the national liberation cause as well as local socio-economic building and development.
