Binh Duong announces 3 entrance exams for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year

The Provincial People's Committee has issued Official Dispatch No. 466/UBND-VX, outlining the plan for admissions to grade 10 of both public and private high schools in Binh Duong province for the 2025-2026 school year. This includes the announcement of three entrance exams for grade 10.

According to the plan, the entrance exam for grade 10 will take place on May 28 and 29, 2025. Candidates applying to Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted will be required to take additional specialized subjects on May 30 and 31. Unlike public high schools, private high schools will not conduct entrance exams but will organize admissions after the results of the public high school entrance exams are released, within the timeframe approved by the Provincial Department of Education and Training.

Candidates take the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year

In the 2025-2026 school year, the province plans to enroll a maximum of 70% of the number of students graduating from junior high school in the 2024-2025 school year, about 20,847 slots (the expected number of students recognized as graduating from junior high school in the 2024-2025 school year would be 23,988 students, accounting for 95% of the total number of grade 9 students). Of which, public high schools enroll about 12,946 students; private high schools enroll about 4,020 students; vocational education and continuing education centers enroll about 3,888 students.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the Provincial Department of Education and Training will continue to utilize the 10th-grade entrance exam software to facilitate online registration for candidates. Admission to 10th grade will be based on an entrance exam. Students who wish to enter 10th grade are required to take tests in three subjects: Literature, Math, and English. The allotted time for each subject is as follows: 120 minutes for Math and Literature, and 60 minutes for English.

The 2025-2026 high school entrance exam is the first exam that implements regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the third subject in addition to the two official subjects Math and Literature. The Provincial Department of Education and Training chose English as the third subject.
