At present, Binh Duong Apparel Co.Ltd. has 65 party members among 2,646 employees. The company-based all departments’ leaders have showed their exemplary role in words and actions, contributing to effectively implement the entrusted political tasks in production and business and taking care of laborers’ material and spiritual life.
Vo Hong Khanh, secretary of the company party committee said that in the past year the company reached more than VND1,096bil in turnover, VND3.8bil in profit, more than VND6.7mil in average income per capita per month, stabilizing employees’ life.
Over the past time, the company was the typical business in taking care of laborers’ material and spiritual living. Aside from improving income for cadres and employees, the company directorate has adjusted regulations, labor agreement and policies and allowances relating to laborers’ right, demand and income and simultaneously built joint plans between authorities, mass bodies and laborers, held dialogues and meetings for laborers to grasp their aspiration and develop harmonic labor relation, contributing to the company’s development.
According to Phan Thanh Duc, chairman of the company trade union said that in the past year aside from implementing 100% of social and health and unemployment insurance allowances for laborers, the company has paid accident insurance for 2,472 cadres and workers with the cost of VND28,000 per person per year.
In addition, the company has constantly paid attention to laborers’ accommodation. Specifically, the company built a tenement with the area of 1,125sqm, offering free accommodation for 1,000 laborers, built a kindergarten worth VND500mil to take care of laborers’ 173 children.
Moreover, the company constructed a mini-supermarket selling commodities with the stabilized prices in a bid to offering the best living condition for laborers.
Another sparkling character is that the company has held an income accumulation program with the duration of 3-5 years for laborers. During the income accumulation period, the company will donate an accumulated money of over VND10mil per person. This is the new policy helping laborers feel secure in work.
In the first and second periods of 2013, the company offered more than VND1.1bil in accumulated money for 90 cadres and employees, helping laborers attach long to the company.
Additionally, the company trade union has held many entertainment activities for laborers, organized gift visits to hundred of poor laborers.
On the coming Tet holiday, the company will grant a bonus equivalent to 2.2 months of wage per person. In addition, the company will spend more than VND1bil to give workers free trips home for Lunar New Year as well as other supportive activities such as gift visits to those who stay for Tet, excursions for laborers and many more.
In 2014, the company directorate will continue to take care of laborers’ spiritual and material living, facilitating laborers’ best working environment.
This is the company’s important policy for the sake of keeping laborers and helping them develop overall.
In the past year, Binh Duong Apparel Co.Ltd. welcomed General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and central cadre delegation who paid a visit learning about the company’s production and business.
During the visit, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong highly valued the company directorate’s effort and said that the company’s model of taking care of laborers’ spiritual and material living is very good and deserves to be honored and expanded.
He also expressed hope that the company should promote its voluntary role in the local economic growth, pay more attention to laborer’s spiritual and material living, create assets for the society and making wealth for the country.
