Many sisters are good not only at housework but at work, becoming female leaders, grasping important positions in the Party and authority organization.
In the revolutionary cause, late President Ho Chi Minh always paid much attention to women’s affairs, Vietnamese women’s equality and advancement. Uncle Ho’s testament wrote that in the anti-US cause for the national liberation, Vietnamese women contribute importantly to combat and production. The party and government need to set out significant plans to foster and assist women in their work, including leadership positions. Meanwhile, women must make greater efforts to affirm their position. This is a revolution bringing a real equality for women”.
Binh Duong women therefore always make greater efforts to improve knowledge, capacity, effectively implement emulation movements and mobilizations launched by the central level associations as well as are honored by the Party and State. Specifically, women society at all levels effectively implement the emulation movement of “Women positively study and work and build happy families” in attachment to the mobilization of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”.
Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, chairwoman of the provincial Women Union said that over the past time the women union at all levels mobilize cadres and members to implement the motto of “Building a happy, wealthy, advanced family” in combination with the emulation movements of “4 nought and 3 clean family”, “New rural building” and “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas”.
Particularly, the women union at all levels held training classes on cultural lifestyle building, thrift practice, waste control and malnutrition control and more.
Concretizing dissemination work, the women union at all levels set up and maintain operation of effective clubs such as “5 nought and 3 clean club”, “green house club”, “happy family club”, “anti-prostitution, social evil, narcotics club” and so on.
In order to help members build happy, wealthy and advanced families, the union strengthens and improves efficiency of programs such as developing homebased economy, making wealth legitimately through preferential loans. In the first 9 months of this year, the union at all levels assisted nearly 9,000 sisters with the total loans of about VND60bil. By many various forms, nearly 1,300 poor sisters enjoyed preferential loans and jobs.
Especially, the emulation movement of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples” has been spread sisters. Concrete and significant contents have attracted women’s great response. For instance, the piggy bank model helps needy sisters improve their life and poor students pursue their study.
As of the end of 2013, the whole province newly set up 696 credit saving teams with the participation of 15,251 members, lifting the total members up to 110,754 and with the total money of nearly VND64bil.
With the Party and State’s attention plus sisters’ efforts, the cause of woman liberation and the cause of implementing woman’s equal right reach significant achievements. Women affirm their role and position in family and society.
