The 2019 “Binh Duong ceramics-Traditional and modern” exhibition was kicked off at provincial Museum on the morning of May 22, in attendance of Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Fatherland Front Committee together with representatives of sectors and departments in the province.
The exhibition includes 12 booths with nearly 450 traditional and modern ceramic objects on 2 main themes: Ceramics in material life and ceramics in spiritual life. The event aims to introduce the origin of the development process of Binh Duong ceramics through different periods, and promote the image of Binh Duong ceramics to domestic and foreign guests. It also helps increasing public awareness of the protection and promotion of the value of traditional craft villages in the province.
On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 7 outstanding collectives and individuals in preserving and upholding the value of the wooden burial jar with bronze cover in Phu Chanh, which has just been recognized as a national previous object.
