With the determination to quickly and safely give injection, in less than a week, Binh Duong has basically completed giving all vaccine doses allocated by the Central government. In addition to people groups prioritized for vaccination according to the Government's Resolution No. 21, with the strategy of “sustaining green zones" and step by step "greening red zones", the province expanded vaccinated groups to residential areas having large numbers of worker and "three-on-the-spot" manufacturing enterprises, and areas bordering Ho Chi Minh City.
Many residents and workers in areas adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City said they were very happy and felt secure as they were vaccinated against Covid-19.
Quick and safe injection
On August 10, the province accelerated the vaccination campaign, gave all 570,000 Covid jabs allocated by the Central government. In Thuan An City, Provincial Center for Disease Control cooperated with the City Health Center to establish fixed vaccination sites located at Aeon Mall Binh Duong shopping center and Song Be Golf Course. The progress of vaccination at these sites was urgent but ensured the requirements of disease prevention and control. “At Aeon Mall Binh Duong vaccination site, there are 7 injection tables. In the past few days, on average, each table injected residents and workers with at least 300 doses", said Cao Thanh Quan, a medical worker at Aeon Mall Binh Duong.
During two days of August 9 and 10, after testing to take F0s out of the community for treatment, Thuan An City accelerated the large-scale injection campaign for residents, both permanent and temporary residents with negative test results in “red zones”. The city also focused on injections in areas bordering Ho Chi Minh City, high-risk areas, such as An Phu and Binh Hoa wards. Up to now, about 36,000 workers and residents in Binh Hoa ward, a "red zone" area bordering Binh Chieu ward, Thu Duc city (Ho Chi Minh City) received Covid jabs.
Le Thi Van (65 years old) in An Son commune (Thuan An city) was vaccinated and received a certificate of the first jab. She said, she herself was old and in poor health, she was so happy and felt secure vaccinated as receiving the first Covid-19 injection. Sharing the same joy after receiving the first injection, Dang Thi Phuong, a native of Nghe An province, who is living and in Binh Hoa ward of Thuan An city, said that after receiving the first dose her worry has been eased off. "Our people would like to sincerely thank medical staff, who have been very dedicated and thoughtful to organize safe vaccination for all residents and workers in the epicenters like us," Phuong said.
Efforts in organizing injections
The big pressure in this Covid-19 vaccination campaign is the thin medical force but having to keep up with the scheduled progress. Therefore, right from the start of this injection campaign, Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee demanded localities and bodies to assemble medical forces to focus on vaccination, ensure that there no problems and interruptions to the vaccination. Localities and units in the province flexibly carried out the injection campaign by mobilizing hundreds of volunteer teachers and students to participate in data entry... Specifically, Provincial Center for Disease Control mobilized 150 mobile vaccination teams, Provincial Industrial Park Management Board each day coordinated with infrastructure investors to deploy at least 20 vaccination sites for workers in "three-on-the-spot" manufacturing enterprises.
Duong Chi Nam, Deputy Director of Department of Health Environmental Management under Ministry of Health, said he appreciated the efforts of Binh Duong province in the past few days when the province had accelerated the progress of vaccination against Covid-19 for residents and workers in areas at high risk of infection. Basically, all vaccines allocated to Binh Duong were injected, and the province is currently updating the data on the national system.
The province's synchronous and drastic measures will contribute to completing the goal of "maintaining green zones", while greening “yellow zones” and “red zones”, and will bring the province back to the new normal condition for “green zone” districts after August 15, and “red zones” to become the "yellow zones" after August 30. “We appreciate epidemic prevention control work and measures of Binh Duong province. I believe the goal is possible that after August 30 the whole province could become green", said Duong Chi Nam.
It can be seen that, after a period of rectification, the work at fixed vaccination sites in localities has become more organized and orderly, ensured safety. Currently, there is a great demand for vaccination among the people. Regarding the increase number of F0 cases in recent days, Duong Chi Nam said that this was the result of Binh Duong's determination to investigate, contact trace, conduct rapid tests for the second phase, find and take out all F0s of residential areas and factories. This is a difference and has an important meaning in the results of disease prevention and control of Binh Duong province.
